TCU Flex is our new and improved revolving credit product, designed to give members more convenience, control, and flexibility with their borrowing.  

TCU Flex replaces our previous Personal Budgeting Account (PBA) and reflects our commitment to giving you a more modern, member-friendly borrowing experience. 

This account gives members ongoing access to an approved credit limit. Instead of applying for individual loans, you can withdraw funds whenever you need them (up to your approved limit) and repay at your own pace, with a simple minimum monthly repayment. No need to reapply each time. 

Whether you’re managing unexpected costs or planning ahead, TCU Flex allows you to access affordable credit quickly, easily, and responsibly.

 How it works: 

  1. Apply once, for a credit limit of £500, £1000, £1,500 or £2,000 – you can apply here.
  2. Make sure you read the TCU Flex Terms and Conditions. 
  3. Your application will be assessed quickly by the loans team – your application may be subject to credit check and income check as part of our affordability assessment.  
  4. If approved, we will issue you with your TCU Flex agreement to sign online. 
  5. Your limit is then available to access – you can withdraw funds via the mobile app, online form or paper form. 
  6. Repayments are as follows: 

TCU Flex credit limit: 

Minimum repayment: 
£500 limit → 

£25 per month /   £6.25 per week 
£1,000 limit → 

£50 per month / £12.50 per week  
£1,500 limit → 

£75 per month / £18.75 per week  

£2,000 limit → 

£100 per month /     £25 per week
